Our Background
Joshua Veloso Pilapil is a retired licensed marriage and family therapist. In his career, he found fulfillment in helping individuals, couples and families navigate difficult emotions and build stronger relationships. Passion for emotional intelligence began early in his work when he noticed how humans were negatively impacted by the lack of healthy coping skills. This inspired him to delve deeper into the topic, focusing his energy on promoting EQ development in schools. He believes these skills are critical for success in both personal, family and professional life. Joshua continues to work tirelessly to increase awareness and importance of EQ , believing that by nurturing emotional intelligence in children, we can help create a more empathic, solution-focused and conscience-driven world.
Caroline Ballesteros-Pilapil is a branding and corporate communication professional with a wealth of experience in stakeholder relationship management, event organizing, and corporate trainings. With over 20 years of experience as a news anchor and talk show host on television, Carol is a skilled communicator with a talent for engaging audiences. Throughout her career, Carol has been a trusted advisor to numerous organizations, helping them to develop and implement effective communication strategies that support their business objectives. Her expertise in stakeholder relationship management has helped many organizations build strong and lasting connections with customers, employees, and partners alike. She has organized numerous successful events, from product launches to industry conferences, and has developed and delivered corporate training programs on topics ranging from branding to public speaking.
As a retired couple, Joshua and Carol are passionate about leaving a positive impact on future generations and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. In addition to their work, they enjoy serving the Lord Jesus Christ through various ministries, spending time with family, traveling and exploring new hiking trails in their home state of California.
